“WHAT NOT TO DO AND WHAT TO DO IN 2020, TO MAINTAIN HEALTHY SKIN”

DON'T…

  1. GO TO BED WITH MAKE UP! Taking off make up and doing gentle cleansing is the first step to healthy and pure skin. Take your make up off first and then follow with second cleanse to make sure you got rid off all the dirt and pollution. Spend a little bit more time with the second cleanse, massage about 2 minutes and remove with a gentle, wet cloth.

  2. OVER EXFOLIATE! Over exfoliating and using harsh scrubs can damage your acid mantle and cause water evaporation,  inflammation and speed up the aging process and make your skin more prone to damage and  environmental factors. Use gentle enzyme based exfoliants, once a week during colder months and twice a week during warmer months.

  3. PICK YOUR SKIN! Picking your skin will cause discoloration and scars, and prolongs the healing process.

  4. FACE WIPES! they only smudge the dirt, bacteria, pollution and oil around, clogging up your pores. Regular usage of wipes, can cause dryness, irritation, sensitivity and impaired acid mantle leading up to even more skin problems. I get it its quick and convenient, but to cleanse your skin takes only couple minutes. Probably as long as smearing that dirt around your face with the wipe.

  5. TANNING BEDS! Really??? These should be banned!!!! No further comment.

  1. CLEAN SKIN CARE AND MAKE UP! There is so many clean, green beauty products on the market these days, we have lots of choices. There is no need to put more chemicals in your body. Pick skin care that is free of emulsifiers, perfumes, colorants, mineral oils! Ask a professional skin therapist to help you choose best line for you.

  2. DAILY REGIMEN! Stay consistent with your daily routine and you will notice a difference. Using that serum that you paid $$$ for once a week won't do the trick. CONSISTENCY is the key! Have a professional write out daily skin care routine that fits your needs.

  3. PROTECTION & PREVENTION! It truly is about protecting your skin to prevent damage. Opt for natural, mineral based sunscreen.

  4. MASKING! It's one of my favorite treatments. Especially when your skin needs a little pick me up, or needs to calm down! Try at least once a week. Don’t have a mask ready to use? Try some fresh ingredients from your fridge like avocado, goat yogurt, strawberries, papaya, honey, oats, bananas. Lay down and do some breathing exercise while the mask settles. All you need is 15 minutes.

  5. MASSAGE! Worried about sagging, wrinkles, puffiness??? Daily massage while applying your products helps with drainage, circulation, muscle tension. You can use tools or just your hands. Just like your body needs movement your face needs it too! Monthly or weekly professional face massage can help you avoid fillers and injections. Remember its not only about the superficial layer. We need to take care of our muscle and fascia in order to keep that skin supple.

  6. DRY BRUSH! Dry brushing helps your body eliminate toxins, increase circulation, exfoliate, stimulates lymphatic system, improves cellulite. Try it once a week!

  7. FACIAL! Regular professional facials help to decrease stress, work on correction and prevention, work on cellular level and maintain desirable results. And human touch is essential to our well being. It can raise our frequency and put in a deep state of relaxation. Also a professional skin care expert will educate you and set up your seasonal care plans. Remember skin is the largest organ, its important to know how to take care of it.

  8. NUTRIENT! To maintain healthy, glowing skin it's important to have a healthy diet. Add more fruit and vegetables, seeds and legumes! Feed your skin with nutrient, vitamins and minerals from inside. Especially if you are struggling with inflammatory conditions like rosacea or acne, healthy diet is the first step to clear skin.
